The three different types of coaching
3. Transformative coaching The feeling you get when you have a mindset shift. So if you are thinking why is this happening to me, why can’t I save more money, why can’t I make more money, money is hard to come by, money is the root of all evil – these are all values and beliefs that sit within us at a very deep level. Subconsciously quite often. A transformational coach will explore and help you to gain the self-awareness to shift some of those values and beliefs so you can be ready to take action in your own life.
Ultimately all of this is about creating new habits and taking the right action toward the outcome you want to achieve. Often in life, we set ourselves goals, we feel really motivated, and then we don’t stick to them or achieve them. The new year is a perfect example, people spend a lot in the Christmas period then come January want to save more, and by April all of their bills have gone up and they’re spending more. So transformational coaching will dive into that, not just how you can save more, but also make more whether that’s passive income streams or side hustles.
This isn’t about earning millions, it’s about improving your financial wellbeing, and financial health and hopefully feeling more financially secure to create financial freedom for yourself. In a literal sense, that means saving more money to do things you love or enjoy like taking that holiday you want, or purchasing that property you want to live in, or it could mean buying back more time. Time is something that we don’t necessarily think about in monetary terms, but time is money. If you want to be retiring when you’re 70 your financial outlook might look very different than if you’re part of the Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) movement and you want to retire at 40 or 50. So knowing what your financial goals are can help you prioritise what you need now.
